An insatiable curiosity and the diversities of life motivate my creative process. Scientifically educated, it is often the constantly evolving natural world that resonates a realist artistic response in me. Immersing my senses into nature, travel, and landscapes -both contemporary and historical- fuels the transmutation of my experiences into a visual phenomenon. Each artwork is guaranteed to have been infused with the energy and intensity of my encounters. Fingers have ran through fur; mountains peaked; wind heard in the leaves of ancient trees, and street aromas inhaled on travels. Attracted by sharp contrasts and rich colours, I am guilty of exploring different styles and exploiting the versatility of mediums over the years. I need to match my moods, and completing a detailed illustrative pen and ink artwork makes me want to break out in oils armed only with a palette knife. I am driven to challenge and expand my abilities and future works need to surprise to me. Sales of my work have reached New Zealand; Canada; and Europe. Always interested in Commissions.
