A light abstract seascape... This painting is about atmosphere, clouds and the morning light in the sky, forms and shades in a peaceful atmosphere. These colors are beautiful to me and show the wonderful light effects that watercolors can produce... I hope it will help you dream away and find some peace when watching it..... 30x40 cm on rough professional watercolor paper, W&N Watercolors used. The painting will come unframed, signed on the back. If you want a signed mat with it, let me know to work out the size you want. ATTENTION: I show some framing options just to give you an idea what the painting could look like framed. A white, silver, golden or grey frame would look great, the best will be to take it to the framers and discuss the size of mat and frame. If you need any advice on this, feel free to contact me! Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
