About The Artwork
Brothers in Arms is a portrait of two brothers. Painted in an intimate but textural fashion, the work blurs the line between abstraction and figuration. Certain key elements such as the older brothers (left figure's) hand around the shoulder of the other indicates and brings forward the bodies and shapes that soon become recognizable to the viewer. The work continues my journey to create intimacy and connection through shapes and forms that are foreign yet slowly become personal.
