Brussels, rue des Chartreux Painting

This is an urbansketch (sketch made on site) made with a dry twig (from a water jasmine tree) and chinese ink, and some watercolor. I learned this technique from the Malaysian urbansketcher Ch'ng Kiah Kiaen. I find this street corner so typically old Brussels, with wonky houses. Urbansketching is a great way to show what I like in my city The drawing with the twig allows me to draw in a looser way, without counting windows Life's too short to count windows
