About The Artwork

The tradition of dying eggs in onion peel boil for Easter has been around for centuries in the Eastern Europe. Doing so makes eggs of a rich ruby color to resemble the blood of Christ. The tradition is quite alive to this day and across generations who long have not resided in Eastern Europe, such as my friend and I, residents of North Carolina. Last year my friend captured this beautiful moment on film, and by this Easter the painting was completed by me. Most people see flower petals, some see just abstract, and I am completely fine with all of the above. Painting was a exhibited at The 24th Mollie Fearing Memorial Art Show in Manteo, NC. Sold framed or unframed.
