He is a painter who spends his entire life. After retiring from 37 years of parliamentary service, he is engaged in painting full-time, using many mediums such as oil paint and watercolor. However, he prefers to work in oil paintings, and besides, he has paintings of old Sri Lankan places of interest. He has been drawing for children's storybooks for some time.
