Lilou Aurélie Honoré (LAH) – Artist Biography Born into a family deeply rooted in the art world, Lilou Aurélie H has been immersed in creativity since childhood. Her grandfather was a painter in Flanders, and her uncle a renowned art dealer in London. Gifted from an early age, she naturally gravitated toward drawing, often capturing portraits and abstract landscapes. At just 19, she found herself at the heart of the art scene, organizing exhibitions for her then-stepfather’s gallery. It was during one of these openings that she witnessed a moment of pure serendipity—an artist, overwhelmed by emotion, stumbled backward, flinging a glass of wine onto his own canvas. That very piece became her most remarkable sale, a moment that cemented her connection to the art world. Life, however, led her on a different path. She moved to Australia, then returned to Europe to pursue a career as an international buyer in the industry. Though far from the easel, her artistic eye remained sharp—she traveled extensively, capturing the world through photography. Over the years, she continued to host exhibitions, welcoming both French and international artists into her home, creating spaces for creative exchange. At 40, the call of art became undeniable. She resumed her practice, enrolling at the Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence to refine her skills in life models drawing, painting, and sketching. In 2024, she officially returned to painting with a renewed vision, preparing for her Wine Collection exhibition—an artistic fusion of two of her greatest passions. A globetrotter and multipotentialite, Lilou Aurélie Honoré thrives on exploration, constantly pushing boundaries and blending disciplines. Her work is a testament to a life rich in experience, where art is not just a practice, but a way of being. She is drawn to beauty, luxury, and all things that bring pleasure to the senses.
