About The Artwork
The CYBER PIRATE is inspired by personal freedom, equality, fashion, modern decadence, and new technologies. The main figure of the painting is a girl who have taken a step into the future. She is open minded and unconstrained by social boundaries. Through this character, the artist brings up the themes of feminism, racism, bullying, sexism, ageism, and social inequality. Everything that she has experienced in her life, from being raised in a dying Siberian town, to how she formed a successful career as a worldwide street artist and winning Worldwide Excellence Award resonate in her artwork. The artwork will be exhibited at the International Contemporary Art Fair, Paris, 2022.

Julia Volchkova was born on October 18th, 1987 in Nizhnevartovsk, Siberia, Russia. Since her childhood, Volchkova has been engaged in art. She started professional art education in 1993. In 2006, she took a spray can for the first time and drew the first street graffiti in her town. She graduated from the Nizhnevartovsk State University in 2010 earning a degree in Arts and Design. In her studies, she was particularly focused on the classical academic art based on a strong Russian school of fine arts which she brought to street art in the creation of Murals around the World and artworks on canvases.
