Camille Pissaro Pop art Painting

Jacob Abraham Camille Pissarro, known as Camille Pissarro, born in Charlotte-Amélie, on the island of Saint-Thomas, in the Danish West Indies, now the Virgin Islands of the United States, on July 10, 1830 and died in Paris on November 13, 1903, was a French-Danish impressionist and then neo-impressionist painter. Known as one of the "fathers of Impressionism", he painted French rural life, particularly landscapes and scenes of peasants working in the fields, but he is also famous for his scenes of Montmartre, and his scenes around the Louvre and the Tuileries, where he was a descendant. In Paris, his students included Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Jean Peské and Henri-Martin Lamotte. Pissarro was also a theorist of anarchy, assiduously associating himself with the painters of New Athens who belonged to the libertarian movement. He shared this position with Paul Gauguin, with whom he later had tense relations.
