About The Artwork
This piece was created for a group exhibition at the KO Studio Gallery in Hamtramck, MI. The title of the exhibition was "U Up?" and the themes explored ideas of digital communication and relationships in a tech heavy world. The composition of the piece is bright and fun but also chaotic, mimicking the disjointed nature of communication during the 21st century. I love the opaque quality of gouache and the color range that can be accomplished with this medium, and due to my illustrative style, chose to outline the bodies in a brush pen.
