The Italian Baroque painter of genius, Caravaggio (1571-1610) was a precursor of chiaroscuro. An anti-conformist and innovator, his creations won him as many admirers as critics. In this work, I use watercolour and ink to explore one of Caravaggio's creations. The minimalism of my horizontal stripes, combined with the expressionism of the colours, spontaneously captures the ephemeral emotions that run through me. The different layers follow one another like a breath that leads me to greater introspection. This creation on paper will provide you with a space of escape and tranquillity.
