Carbonated duality. Painting

"Carbonated Duality" is an oil work; the work plays with the idea of duality in life and in the consumer society. On the one hand, Coca-Cola is a product associated with happiness and pleasant moments in free time. On the other hand, their consumption can have negative consequences on health and the environment. The representation in the duality in the bottle, suggests a disconnection or fragmentation of reality that can be a consequence of our relationship with consumer products, as well as the idea of time and how time gives us the basis to understand reality. This duality is accentuated by the use of the oil technique, which requires time and patience for its elaboration, and contrasts with the speed and efficiency of the consumption culture. This painting is part of a new series of experimentation that Zoe Lunar is going through, always trying to understand the relationship that there is with time, between forms and the experience itself. Looks that are transformed into the translation of the real, a feeling of the personal real where the main vehicle of translation are the transformation of the same reality. Oil on paper.
