This painting is part of a series of work called 'The Dreamers', which is about the millennial generation, and feelings of belonging and identity. The colours are reflective of the night sky, hence the title Celeste. Japanese textiles, and denim have been used as a collaged background onto a wood panel. The face is painted using a mix of media including acrylic and gold leaf.

Pam Glew, born 1978, is a mixed media painter, known for her use of fabric, flags and bleached canvases. She exhibits internationally, with solo shows in London, Paris and Sydney and has exhibited at Dallas Contemporary and Honolulu Museum of Art. Pam has produced numerous commissions for fashion brands from Ralph Lauren to Armani, MTV and Microsoft. Her work is housed at Saatchi & Saatchi London, Mitsubishi Bank, and in collections worldwide. Pam is co-curator at Paxton+Glew Gallery, showing contemporary art in Brighton's Lanes.
