About The Artwork

Cell division. Mitosis. Each time, solving the next puzzle of nature, a "forest" of new puzzles rises before us. The world is always little bit different, it meets our expectations and overwhelms with its incredible complexity at the same time. The world is space: macro and micro. Here is a schema of cell, how it might looks like if the world is the way the painter thinks of it. Rag noodles is a unique, author's technique that allows you to create picturesque canvases from old clothes. The source material is sorted by color and texture and prepared for work. Then we cut the fabric into working strips (noodles) and from these noodles, in accordance with the artist's intention, a picture is created. The technique is similar to carpet weaving. A drawing is applied to the base, and then thousands of loops are pulled with a boot awl for dratva, embodying the intended plot. And so! The result is a thick and dense carpet! American craftswomen call this way creating paintings “rug hooking”. That’s what happened now.
