• Cellphone Decision • Painting

• To the 3.5 billion people in the world in 2020 who owned the smartphone and mobile phone, the phone had become their life companion. Good job Mr. Jobs. • By 2023, up to roughly 7.3 billion would have owned both devices, assuming that the devastating Covid-19 would have stopped killing more of the 7.7 billion world population. • Since most owners individually decide on their preferred device, in early July, 2020, a new Facebook female friend asked me for the “best” device advice given the price. • Not only did she sound smart and witty, but she kind of endeared me after saying that my paintings were amazing. Since only less than 5% of adults love contemporary art, how could she tell me that when she needed 5 more years to be an adult? • Before I knew it, I came up with an abstract showing a colorful female bighead who stood thinking which smartphone she must get without even knowing what she wanted. • Since she never told me the phone color she favorited, I decided to paint “Cellphone Decision” in different hues to empower the young lady to choose, and not make an excuse.
