Chaos Painting

I was born in 1967 in London, England. The youngest of four children, myself being the only boy. Spent much of my life doing jobs I've hated trying to ignore the fact that all I really want to do is paint. Got married in 2001 and now have two wonderfull boys. And for the second time in my life am concentrating on one thing, my art. An artist friend of mine told me one day that I should stop throwing work away that I was not completly happy with because he said that people like art for very different reasons and that because the work hadn't turned out quite how I had wanted it to, that was no reason to discard it. I have found that to be the case with my work that people don't always get the ones I have worked so hard on and like the simple ones for very different reasons. So I have now begun to paint with far more confidence and joy, not really trying to dictate what the painting should be but rather allowing it to teach me, it' the most fun I've had painting in my whole life. I hope it shows.
