Charleston Farmhouse Painting

This painting is inspired by a visit to Charleston Farmhouse, the modernist home and studio of painters Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant located in the countryside of England. The house also served as a meeting place for some of the 20th century's most radical writers, thinkers, and artists, known as the Bloomsbury Group. The whole house is a work of art and a labor of love. The artists painted on almost every available surface- including walls, doors, and furniture- to create a space that was uniquely theirs.
