ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Life for me is composed as onions skins. One over another. As russian dolls. In this way, the first garden of life is childhood, and from it, the shape of successives life gardens will change. Why for me child's dreams are so important to see and protect. In "Enfant, capitaine de nos rêves" (in french please) the boy -quite tall- is coming to be an adult. He throws his "fish and ship" to the océan. And yet on it, just in a thin white line, a captain, and a sailor. In my mind they are just dreams, just imaginary. But as sketch is the base for the painting, child dream is the base of adult reality. Dedicaced to all who dream, all who want to throw yourself in life and have the project to become captain. And naturally to all who makes possible the dreams of theirs chlidren.

I started my profession as a self-taught artist, selling small landscape watercolors, then the characters came to live in these scenes. In various imaginary situations. I think that the taste of stories, especially those of my culture, but not only, have conditioned a poetic vision, a little surreal with accents of nostalgia. And I like the idea that we can, through "little painted theaters", visit our memory, a pay homage those who have gone before us. Adding some layers of poetry and tenderness... A way to poetize the ancestors, ourselves, and make us feel more alive, through secular icons, joyful, unbridled, tender and why not, humorous. This is how I see my work as an artist today.
