I'm a self-taught artist, was fan of drawing (comics) very early ; and began selling my watercolors at 15 and still paint with enjoyment ; I particulary appreciate the idea hiden behind the painting, the real meaning ; why I've a special "attirance" for old way of paintings (allegories and symbolic paintings at the end of middle age in Europe by example).
Also very interested in surrealistic movement, as well as illustration and comics works. They're many talented illustrators and drawers.
Theses differents influences probably guides me in the idea of a narrative expression, the painting is here to express something, as a poetic icon ; not only the witness of a time ; I consider my paintings at the crossway of Illustration, comics and allegory, and paint many times from a poetic idea I have.
No formal art school education, I was selling my works before the age of studying in university ; but read and saw much artist expression trough books and museums ; I am a fan of Paul Klee world, Max Ernst, Picasso and Chagall. And many others artists ; I think too that practicing every day is also a good way to learn, along the years.
I think building with patience your own path is the only way to be really yourself.
