This is one of a series of plein air paintings made on the beaches of Herzlia, Israel. The canvas I use is made of linen. Since one of my favorite painters is Sorolla, I often go and paint beach scenes as inspired by his sketches.

I was born in Tetuan, Spanish Morocco, and received my degree in fine arts at San Fernando Escuela Superior des Bellas Artes – Madrid, Spain. During this time I was exposed to and influenced by the famous Spanish and French impressionists (Sorolla, Cezane, Pissarro and Monet), as well as by Spanish realist art (Velazques, Zurbaran). After immigrating to Israel I studied contemporary art at Bezalel Fine Art Academy of Jerusalem. My works focus is on the Israeli landscape, beach scenes, still life and portraits.
