About The Artwork
I was inspired by the outstanding physiographic feature on the White River Plateau in Colorado known as "China Wall", as it was perceived by old-timers who found it reminiscent of China's Great Wall. However, I took liberties with the reality in this impressionistic rendering, adding some color, especially yellow (which I consider the (nearly) universal complement. My son is a latter-day mountain man, the New Millennium's answer to Jim Bridger, who lives in Colorado and knows from experience every mountain redoubt in the Central Rockies.
