ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work was inspired by the classical horse drawings by Da Vinci. I loved those drawings with the fresco backgrounds. It was also inspired by a black horse that I saw in Central America while taking horseback riding lessons. I had never seen a mane or a tail like that on a horse. It was beautiful. I'm a painter (mostly oils) and I don't feel that my work is realistic, but more impressionistic.
