Outdoors, under a big sky, feeling alive. Painted at the Lava Beds National Monument in Northern California. Created to last generations, on cradled panel, lined with linen and covered with traditional gesso. Painted in a naturalistic manner, influenced by Corot and the Impressionists, as well as 20th Century American painters like Maynard Dixon and Edward Hopper.
