Flowers - natural colors of nature always had a special place in the works of the most eminent artists. Even more attention was paid to sunflowers, which look like the personification of the sun on earth. Sunflowers have a fairly ancient history. Fragments and seeds of these bright colors were discovered during excavations in North America. It is established that the plant blossomed for 3000 years before our era.
American Indians used sunflowers for their various needs and considered them sacred. In Peru this yellow flower symbolized the sun god.

The most famous paintings and artists who painted sunflowers:
Henri Matisse "Sunflowers in a Vase", Gustav Klimt "Sunflowers in a Rustic Garden", Gustave Caillebotte "Sunflowers in the Garden of Petit-Gennevilliers", Paul Gauguin "Sunflowers", Vincent Van Gogh "Two cut sunflowers", "Vase with fifteen sunflowers Diego Rivera "Nude with Sunflowers", Claude Monet "Bouquet with Sunflowers", Henry Matisse "Vase with Sunflowers", Antonis van Dyck "Self-portrait with a Sunflower"...

Wall panel still life "Coffee with Sunflowers". 100% silk crepe de Chine, hot wax batik, painting on silk, dyes. 26"x38" (65x96cm)

The picture is not stretched over the cotton canvas and is a piece of painted fabric. You can arrange it by yourself in accordance with the design of your room. At your request, I can stretch it onto the canvas. This will be an additional cost. Also, due to the fact that the silk panel is being stretched on stretched canvas the size of the panel and the weight are increasing, the cost and method of delivery will also be increased. Keep in mind that the photo may distort the true colors of the panel. Since It is a fabric (silk) that it stretches, then when it is finished and pulled on the frame, there are natural constrictions of the material. Therefore, the parallel lines do not look perfectly smooth. When it will be stretched on canvas or framed, this nuance will slightly straightened.

"Creating my work on a very complex but “warm” material as natural fabric (especially silk, which does not allow for mistakes), I want to pass-on this warmth to someone else. When one wears this thin silk shawl over one's shoulders, with its painted birds in the Garden of Eden, you feel more at peace and the emination of an inner beauty. Your beloved is wearing a shirt with your portrait and feels this happiness too. You will admire “our” panels that are created for you, anew each day, looking through your eyes. Maybe our fantasies in the picture are in tune with each other and this will be a source of creative energy transmitted through this art for years to come. This is the ultimate goal of my work and my hope…" Veronika was born and grew up in Moscow, Russia. Currently residing in LA, California. As she remember she always was painting. Drawing was always her hobby , passion and profession . Years ago she discovered the beauty of painting on fabrics, especially on silk and cotton. Since moving to United States, she has been working on her painting full time, and she is completely dedicated to this work. Her items are in private collections in Europe, North America and Asia. She use many different techniques: The "Serti" technique (cold batik) where designs are formed with a resistance liner, the "classical" (hot batik) batik technique with wax-resistance, and "Free Painting". All her works are hand painted with different themes and motives; such as flowers, birds, fish, abstraction, Japanese and Chinese (classical and contemporary ), etc. We send some of our silk panels without any frame and they are not hemmed, and you frame it as you like. Some works are stretched on canvas. Sending this work in a frame will be more expensive and the frame we choose may not be appropriate for your needs. But if you want we would be happy to have the framing done for you according to your wishes. If you have any question we are personally available to discuss your inquiry.
