Laura is an Hawaii artist, having moved from NYC area in 2020, she lives on the edge of creation surrounded by lava flows on the Big Island. Her work is greatly influenced by the ever present energy of the lava, volcanic mountains, sea and stars. Hawaii has a certain light quality that her artworks portray as the artist mostly pour paints outside. "My paintings explore fluid water patterns of life; the drop, wave, meaner and spiral. The paint records the movement as the liquid flows around the obstacles occurring in its path. As we are faced with challenges in our lives, we are called to evolve and float down the river meandering around each boulder as it comes. EVOLVING PATTERNS express the beauty and grace of change in our lives."
