Consider the Lilly Painting

29" x 12" on Birch, acrylic, and air brush. Before doing an art piece, I look for mediums that speak to me. This fine piece of wood jumped out at me as a beautiful and calm Lillie pond. The image it was supposed to be unfolded before me and all I had to do was uncover it. There something about the ripples of the natural wood grain that brings you in with a calming peace. I think some desire to do a piece like came from Claude Monet's Lilly pond painting and Matt Beyrer's work. I've seen both artists work in person and have been to the small town in France where Monet painted his famous painting, and it is beautifully inspiring. Whom ever has this hanging in their home will have my envy. I almost don't want to let this one go.
