"I am fascinated by the transition, the change of state, the emergence of the possible" Christoph Robausch Study for a series of medium-sized wall sculptures. Indian ink on aluminum, with a solid wooden panel on the inside. The very energetic, successive manual compression of the metal jacket creates bizarre formations, abstract landscapes, natural faults, static movement. The picture sculpture is prepared for easy wall mounting, is signed and dated on the back with the initials cR.

Robausch’s artworks oscillate between painting and sculpture, texture and structure, matter and space. Based on his long experience in architecture and industrial design, he developed a special technique to build wall objects and freestanding sculptures. The essence of his objects is the specially designed supporting structure - currently - coated with aluminium. Painted with india ink and hand-sanded with diamond abrasive, his artworks create a timeless depth, with a unique atmosphere.
