Coral Blush Painting

Coral Blush is an original work of art on 300gsm paper, framed with 9mm oak wood. Created using acrylic paint, rice paper and monoprint collage, this artwork was created as part of a series of works on paper (April-October, 2020). Working in a responsive and intuitive manner towards my use of materials, Coral Blush was formed from my interest in wanting to incorporate monoprint collage into my surfaces, adding a raw and textural detail to my use of acrylic washes. Coral Blush conveys the resting of day, where a warm glow is cast across the ever-changing cityscape of Edinburgh.
