Contact us.My work explore the visualization of the invisible. The biological cell is my subject, understood as an unseen reality of one's own being. I draw and record a cell image everyday to capture the character of my constantly changing biological self.
What am I a composite of? What binds us into a singular entity, and what allows us to become many?
My practice begins with an inquiry into the self—specifically, the cells that constitute my existence. Through this perspective, I observe and express the relationships between matter and life, mind and behavior.
Cells function as a medium through which I reinterpret existence. Their forms and movements capture my attention, drawing me into a state of focused observation. The entity I call “myself” witnesses the phenomena before me, affirming life in the present moment. As I breathe, the cells within me follow their own cycles, guiding and sustaining my being.
I find the essence of my work in the words of William Blake: “To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour.”
Impulse embodies nature’s way of living each fleeting moment as if it were eternal. Through sound, light, and organic imagery—repetitive yet asymmetrical—I attempt to visualize the vitality inherent in living systems.
