Cosmos Survivor was inspired by people who have survived sexual abuse and overcome shame. The myth of Lucretia, who killed herself because she was raped, is represented as a mermaid who tosses her sword away, and with it her shame and pain, and presents an expression of peacefulness, with the symbol for survivors of sexual abuse incorporated in the end of her mermaid tail.
