When learnings about the subconscious, Serrier was told "it is like going into the ocean, you think you see everything, but once you put on goggles you realize how little you saw. This stuck with Serrier for years, a wanting to create this image of a window to the mind using natures gifts. This was a piece of bark, hugged by the oceans seaweed that had been washed up on the French Riveria.
