Coyote Sunset was inspired by our neighborhood coyotes, Arizona, and desert sunsets. Coyotes are frequent visitors where we live. We invaded their habitat and they almost seem like they want to let us know. They aren't really afraid of us and our neighborhood is their hang out whether we like it or not. Coyotes will be in the desert long after we are gone. Coyotes are the desert's clever survivors. I wanted to capture their attitude and personality in my painting.

I am a multi-media artist from Oro Valley, Arizona. I graduated from Texas Woman's University in spring of 1992 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. I also have a Master’s in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University. My art work is an ongoing exploration of life and the world which surrounds me. I have always been fascinated with finding new ways of depicting emotions and moods through my use of line, movement, and texture. Creating art work is like a puzzle that I am constantly trying to solve.
