• I digitally painted “Crazy Horse” to pay tribute to the legendary Indian hero who in the 1870s valiantly fought the U.S. Federal soldiers who tried to claim ownerships of Indian-occupied lands in South Dakota and Nebraska. • By painting Crazy Horse to look like a real horse with a long nose, the nose seemed to mimic the belly of the cabaret dancer I saw at a show at the MGM Grand many years ago. • I don’t know how you liked how I painted the belly of the dancer, but the ferocious man shown on top seemed to hate it, and did not get the wit I had put into it. • Or maybe the man did not like the color of the sour lime I had splattered all around. • But Crazy Horse must love the abstract, the fact that he gave it a thumbs-up.
