About The Artwork

Crown painted by robot is great for any interior if you are in love with a well-known artists's works. This is one from series about famous Neo expressionist Jean-Michael Basquiat. The collection named "Following Basquiat's steps" consist of few artworks where viewer can notice famous artist's motives. Robot's techniques are different and most unique in my opinion is his primitive and expressive style, big strokes are his handwriting which reminds the style of Jean-Michael. Crown was the most noticeable mark in his artworks.

“Paintbyrobot” is a unique and inspiring art project curated by the artist Anastasija Aleksejeva and inspired by enterpreteur Vadim Vakarjuk, that embodies the synthesis of creativity, AI and technology, and which uses a robotic mechanical arm as an artist. This project becomes the first of its kind in Latvia and the Baltic countries, opening new horizons in art. The founders of the project are the “Robohood” company that have studios all over the world. “Paintbyrobot” is not just about creating works of art, it is about exploring the line between human creativity and the mechanical precision of a robot. The idea of the project is to allow a robotic mechanical arm to express art through its movements, giving the opportunity to create unique and inspiring works of art. The software works as follows: 1.The user uploads a digital image in png, Jpg, or Jpeg format or use an AI to create the idea. The image serves as the base of the painting. 2.The user then can set a number of settings, such as the palette or painting style. 3.Based on the image and settings, stroke coordinates are generated. 4.These coordinates then convert into the motion coordinates for the robot and a digital image of a future painting: a render. The render gives the user an idea of what the future picture will look like before the robot starts painting. 5.Once the render is approved, the robot begins the painting, and soon, an entirely unique, one-of-a-kind piece of fine art is produced! The artworks are vary in style, from abstract to portrait, and in color palette, from bold and bright to muted and subdued. Some of the pieces are created entirely by the robot, while others feature a combination of human and machine-created elements. You must be free to create, and the robot gives that freedom. That is why we are investing in robotic arts. We are developing these technologies so that anyone can feel and express beauty without limitations.- Vladimir Tsimberg, Founder, Robohood
