ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Crystal clear" is a painting inspired by a beautiful creek on the world's largest sand island (K'gari/Fraser Island) where the water is so transparent that the only clue to it's gentle flow is the glint of sunlit specks reflecting on the surface. My intention is to portray the tranquility, beauty and fragility of this creek.

I am especially fascinated by the flux of sunlit patterns on water and foliage in creeks and streams. My paintings explore the beauty and fragility of tiny moments that can often go unnoticed. The flux of sunlit patterns on water and foliage in rivulets and creek beds are my inspiration. Mostly painting with oils I work abstractly to reinterpret nature’s patterns, rhythms and colours.
