Cuerpo escueto dólares by Enrique Pichardo is a bold work, where figures give shape to an irregular body on a background of dollar bills. In this canvas, black is the only color apart from the background. The dimensions of this painting are 41 x 51 cm, made in acrylic on cardboard. From the beginning, we are confronted with the striking choice of using dollar bills as a background. This visual resource not only adds an economic component to the work, but also challenges traditional perceptions of artistic representation: the figures, sculpted in black on this financial background, form an irregular body that seems to emerge from the very essence of money. The choice of black highlights the figure, creating a strong contrast with the monochrome of the background. The simplicity and simultaneous complexity of the depicted body is emphasized. This body becomes a visual statement about the connection between identity and economy. The transition of shapes and lines, subtly articulated in black, creates an intriguing visual narrative that invites reflection on the relationship between the body and financial value. Enrique Pichardo stands out as a talented artist whose creations capture a life full of energy and a captivating personality. His works explore mystical philosophies imbued with charm and a vibrant chromatic palette, highlighting figurative representations with a touch of childhood spontaneity. Through the use of intense colors, pictorial symbols and organic forms with simple strokes, he transports the viewer into his abstract universe and establishes a connection with his inner child.

The Mexican plastic artist, Enrique Pichardo, has more than 30 years of experience as a painter. His technique and style combine artistic influences from other countries with the traditional Mexican influence. In his own words, he defines his art as naive expressionism. The plastic work of Enrique Pichardo has more than one aspect. On the one hand, he creates works that are densely populated with shapes, figures, and colors. On the other hand, he has abstracted urban landscapes with a neutral color palette that recreates everyday situations. However, the special characteristic that maintains the cohesion of all his pieces is the conviction of approaching art through a return to his childhood and his first traces. Paint like a child, paint with more expression than technique, paint with feeling over technique. The painter seeks the skillful strokes of his inner child to carry out each of his pieces.
