Born in 1958, Rio Saliceto, Reggio Emilia, Italy. Based in Rio Saliceto. Danilo Davolio's empirical use of colour and form becomes the very substance and structure of his paintings rather than an illustration of it. Extending far beyond their surface beauty, his paintings immerse us into a new galaxy of intense colour and light. Through his exploration in light, colour and form he began producing purely abstract works mainly in oil on canvas. A prolific and communicative artist, a father of six and a Veterinary Surgeon, Danilo has now been creating artworks for over thirty years and has work in private collections across Europe.
