ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This woek, of two figures flailing and dancing together, is inspired by a feeling of freedom, madness, letting go and chaos. I felt as if the world was chaos at the time of painting it. I hope the viewer feels the dynamism of the piece, and they enjoy finding all the tiny details hidden amongst the bold lines, stripes and daubs. I enjoyed mixed oil on acrylic, I loved creating the big gold stripes, I think they add to the feeling of movement and dance. I enjoy placing lots of detail against a blank backdrop. Its much inspired by Japanese art, with a minimal palate, blank negative space and then the detail of hair, fabric and skin,
