About The Artwork

Inspired by an excursion to the german North Shore at the Nordsee, I was intrigued by the interplay between water, sky and sand structures - the so called "Watt" (Wadden Sea National Park) which is also UNESCO Nature World Heritage. I rarely use color but mostly create my work out of natural material such as ash, rock flour, pigment, soil and sand which preserve the archaic and natural features of the motiv.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I am a freelance artist, creating paintings and sculptures. My pieces are created from natural materials such as earth, ash, sand and rock flour. Although I create paintings that reflect nature I only work with natural pigment to create pieces with subtle and delicate color palettes. The almost object-like character of the images is given an archaic-looking graphic level by incisions that make the lower layers of paint visible again. The rough surface also characterizes my ceramic work. Socio-political themes are becoming increasingly important to me yet nature remains one of the main sources of inspiration.
