About The Artwork
It’s a delicately composed still life crafted on 10 by 10 inches of canvas. Whenever I face an art block, painting still life without fail brings me back to my creative self. I celebrate a little every time I'm done with the initial sketch of still life, as it requires precision, time, and emphasis. The palette is a fine mix of analogous and complementary hues with grey, black and white being a neutral background and foreground in the composition. The mesh basket blends in with the background while maintaining its individuality through the application of shades and tints. Painting dappled sunlight on the fruits, and creating partial shades in the overall structure is what I enjoyed most. This painting can brighten up kitchen walls, throw color in the dining space, or can be a part of a wall gallery in a hallway bringing an unmatched appeal to the neutral surroundings.
