Dark Souls - the lost fortress Painting

Inspired by the multiple awarded video game Dark Souls, from From Software, this is an oil tryptic on canvas (3x 50 X 70). There are plenty of details, going from a cemetery with its stones and burial vaults to the broken stairs and dead windows of the stone keep that dominates the landscape, not to forget of course the paladin's accouterment. The sun is setting - or is it an eternal and ethereal out of time morning over these frontier naked mountains - and the bonefire is lit, but will the paladin risk and leave the pastures for the empty and haunted halls of the crumbling but still fierce ruin ? One could reflect to that question by admiring this painting on his very wall.
