"Dark Wave (Blue Healing)" Painting

I believe that when we let go and turn off our internal dialogue we allow pure energy to pour through us, painting allows me to fully connect with my surroundings, conveying an emotional response to a place or an experience, the paintings are not contrived, but are a result to channelling living energy that ultimately comes from somewhere other than the known universe. By doing this we can fully engage in the hitherto closed doorway of the subconscious mind. Inspiration for a painting comes from a variety of sources, this is not always dictated by what is in front of me, sometimes the initial spark can be an intuitive thought or a reflection of my emotional response to the actual experience of painting. Diverse combinations of intense colour and the relationship between position and proportions of colour, how they juxtapose themselves one on the other, providing endless variations and inspiration.
