Dark landscape Painting

Paolo Notaristefano is a young Italian artist who specialized in painting and drawing. Born January 27, 1993, in Massafra in the province of Taranto. He graduated as a graphic designer in 2012. In 2013 he worked in a web design and graphic design agency and then enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari in the painting department where he graduated in 2017. Since 2012 he has been present on the Italian jazz-core scene as a drummer (tougsbozuka) this perpetuating continuous parallelism between visual art and music. The parallelism that over time, like two magnets, tries to translate into a unique solution. Light on groups of people in a new critical vision of sharing and creative possibilities. He prefers the lightness of the paper for his apparently material paintings and his attention focuses on the movement of the subjects he portrays while the action takes place. Everything is firm, the figures are unrecognizable, in contemplation; they are a secondary part of the work. pure design that serves to bring out the true protagonist: the light. Currently, he is resident in the NDSM TREEHOUSE "playground for artists" since October 2019 in the new heart center of contemporary art of Amsterdam.
