About The Artwork
It's taken me years get this painting out of my heart and onto canvas. The entire reason I started painting was to have my own artwork hanging on my wall above my couch, but it was never quite right. I finally got there! This painting is whimsical with the kite stuck in the branches beckoning you to ask how it got there and it is calming with the teal foggy hues dissipating into the light. After finally getting it right, I realized that what I really want is to just keep painting and have an ever changing display. So now, my art is ready for your home.

Born in the Oregon countryside, I grew up bucking hay and sitting in the barn sketching the shapes around me. I bent wire into sculptures, blended oil pastels, and threw apples from the tree into the cow pasture to watch them chase after it. I didn't begin using acrylic paints until after I was an adult and wanted to try a new medium. I found myself in this fast-drying paint, layering the colors until I was satisfied. Painting became my therapy and trees my main focus of attention. I hope my work brings you serenity as it has me.
