ABOUT THE ARTWORK
From 1979 to 1992 I was a Cartoonist Comic Artist, I worked for the Beano, Dandy, Topper, Beezer, Whizzer and Chips and many more. Early work was for Scooby Doo and his TV Friends, A colleague and friend in the USA is writing a book about this time. I have tried working my comic art into my painting over the last 20 years and not been entirely happy. I've thought about introducing this cartoon work into my work, for the last year. Then as creativity works it popped in and was there. I want to continue exploring the new development. Please note this is painted on a thin canvas stretcher which is easily damaged, it was intended to be a study work not a finished work.
