ABOUT THE ARTWORK
You can see movement and energy in the swirls of blue, orange, and red with gray undertones. Texture creates an earthly, sculptural. My work is an abstract study of the relationship between man and nature. It’s a celebration of both the living and nonliving systems thereby fostering a deeper human connection to the earth. Avoiding manmade tools, my process mimics how nature forms and manifests striations, craters, boundaries, and even new life forms. This artwork does not require a frame as the sides are an attractive continuation of the front of the painting.

By avoiding manmade tools and using the scientific processes by which our earth was created and continues to change such as movement, pressure, adaptation to obstruction, etc, I create geomorphic abstractions in painting, sculpture and installations. Born in Austin, I now live and work on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country.
