One of a series painted in response to Botticelli's 'Primavera' in the Uffizi, Florence. This depicts the west wind Zephyr chasing after the wood nymph Chloris who, after their union, later transforms in the Goddess Flora. It is about desire and transformation in a painting that is all about love, both spiritual and physical.
