This Ganesha is in meditative state, which I always obtain in my paintings with effort or without any effort. The symbolism in our Hindu rituals amuse me always, whether it’s sculpting Ganesha murthi ( idol) with clay or praying with flowers and lots of leaves or immersing the idol in the river or lake, back to the source. All these rituals show the people’s close relation with nature and the oneness with nature.

I am Uma Makala artist from Hyderabad with a degree in commerce.Painting for me is a constant exploration and expression. My emotions and spiritual connection with nature or people, I always like to portray on canvas. Though most of my paintings are mythological characters,I always like to show their unconditional love, harmony and serenity. Be it Radha krishna or shiva shakthi , I always wanted to convey the oneness and blissfulness. I have participated in many group shows in Hyderabad, Vizag, Pune Bhopal and Indore. I have also done one solo show in Hyderabad.
