Dialogue Painting

While traveling in Oregon, I leaned over a bridge and took photographs of a beautiful river. Much later, I started a painting. As I studied both the colors and the layout that were beginning to emerge, it reminded me of something. I left it on the easel for days, passing it and thinking....where?....what?.... After one of those passing queries, I decided to look through some photographs and soon found the series I had taken from that bridge in Oregon. I found one that had the same basic layout and began to paint. The painting is not the exact replica of the photograph, but the photograph will always be the connector to the end result. When I thought I was finished, I went back, added the human figure and then the dialogue began.
