ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece was painted with one tube of paint, hence the title "Dioxazine Purple" and one paint brush. I like to stretch the limits of what is possible with just a brush, paint or paints and a canvas. As I finished this one it reminds me a lot of what the Cubists were doing, especially Juan Gris. This piece is an acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas, the edges painted black, wired and ready to hang.
